a look at the practice
energetic, intuitive, creative and inspiring
My journey began at the age of four when I started ballet. As an active child, I explored a variety of activities and was always drawn to sports that challenged me physically. Growing up in a small village, but I didn’t really fit in, so I left to pursue my passion for dance and studied at the Dance Academy Lucia Marthas. After graduating in 2017, I worked abroad as a dancer, but it was house dance the drew me back. Inspired by house music and the street and club culture, I moved to Rotterdam where I got deeply involved in the community that celebrates freedom, self-expression, and creativity. My involvement in the “battle” dance scene and my travels to various places to learn as much as possible from the style, it’s roots and the community, led me to contribute to the birth of HouseJamRotterdam, a space that brings people together for the love for community and house music.
Initially, I set out to pursue a full-time dance career, but in reality this was much harder than I thought. This led me to explore other areas, like organizing, hospitality, and eventually the wellness industry. Working in wellness shifted my perspective on both the body and health. I experienced how much was missing in terms of understanding moving the body and holistic well-being. I felt a growing need to contribute to that, which reflected in my personal transformation and lifestyle. I started to practice more yoga, which grew in a deeper study. After earning my teaching certification in the Netherlands, I felt the desire to explore the roots of yoga. In 2024, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in Mysore, India.
As I have lived many lives, today, I’m most passioned about blending and sharing my dance background with my passion for movement. In my teaching, I like to blend different styles together from house and contemporary dance, animal flow, functional training, mobility, capoeira, calisthenics, and soft acrobatics, offering a holistic approach to movement that challenges and nurtures the body. My vision is to help others reconnect with their bodies through movement, creativity, and play. I aim to raise awareness about holistic health by using movement as a tool to build confidence, encourage self-expression, and a deeper connection with the self.
Each step of my journey has been guided by gratitude for the communities that inspire me, the teachers & coaches who shape me, the privilege to life this life and the movement that continues to teach me. I’m led by the joy of learning, creating, sharing and expressing.
